🎚️ How to prepare your stems correctly

To ensure optimal results, follow these essential guidelines:

File format

• Export each track individually (track by track)
• Maximum 35 tracks for this service
• WAV or AIFF format recommended
• Same sample rate and bit depth as your original project (minimum 44.1kHz / 24-bit)
• All tracks must be the same length and start at 0:00

Headroom: -2 to -3dB required

Headroom represents the space available between the loudest peak of your audio and 0dB (the digital maximum).

Why is this important? It gives me the headroom to process your audio without distortion or digital saturation.

How to do it? Lower the gain of your tracks so that the highest peaks reach -2 or -3dB maximum.

Essential technical rules

✅ TO DO:

• Rename each track clearly and logically (e.g. "Kick", "Bass", "Vocal_Lead", "Synth_Pad_1")
• Number similar tracks (Vocal_1, Vocal_2, Synth_1, Synth_2, etc.)
• Export from the exact start of the project (time 0:00)
• Keep any creative treatments you want to keep (distortions, creative delays, etc.)
• Remove or disable sidechains and non-creative technical effects (mix compressors, limiters)
• Include a reference if you have a particular sonic direction

❌ DON’T:

• NEVER hit the red (no unintentional digital clipping/distortion)
  
• Leave reverbs and delays on individual tracks unless they are essential to your sound
• Export with unnecessary silences before or after the track
